Categories & Variants

Categories and variants help you organise products and handle items that have different options (such as size or colour).

Categories

Categories allow you to group similar products together. This makes it easier to find products and view reports.

How to use categories

  1. When adding or editing a product, look for the Category field.

  2. Select an existing category, or create a new one if the option is available.

  3. Save the product.

Products assigned to a category can be filtered or viewed by category in the product list and reports.


Variants

Variants are used when one product has different versions, such as:

Instead of creating many separate products, you can create one product with multiple variants.

Setting up variants

  1. When adding or editing a product, look for the Variants option.

  2. Enable variants if available.

  3. Add the variant options (for example, Size: S, M, L).

  4. Set the price and stock quantity for each variant if they are different.

  5. Save the product.

Using variants during a sale

  1. When you select a product that has variants, the system will ask you to choose the specific option (e.g. size or colour).

  2. Select the correct variant.

  3. The product will be added to the cart with the chosen variant.
