This guide explains how to edit the details of an existing product in Modeve POS.
Go to the Products or Inventory section.
Find the product you want to edit. You can scroll through the list or use the search bar.
Tap the product to open its detail page.
Tap the Edit button.
Update the necessary information.
Tap Save to confirm the changes.
The updated information will be applied immediately.
You can usually update the following fields:
Product name
Selling price
Stock quantity
Product code / SKU
Barcode
Category
Cost price
Description
After saving, the new details will appear on the sales screen and in future receipts.
Changes to the selling price only apply to new sales. Past transactions will keep the original price.
Adjusting the stock quantity manually will update the current inventory level. Use this carefully to avoid incorrect stock records.
Only users with the appropriate permission can edit products. If you do not see the Edit button, contact your administrator.
Double-check the information before saving, especially the price and stock quantity.
